Riviera Music is owned and operated by Emile Millar. Emile is a local music producer and writer and taught music at Vieja Valley Elementary School and Crane Country Day School. He wrote an award winning musical adventure book for kids called Eagle vs Bear: Adventures of a Child Cub and his songs have been featured in dozens of television shows and movies including Marvel's blockbuster film The Avengers, Fox Searchlight's Waitress, and NBC’s Parenthood. Emile also recently produced the award winning documentary film More Than Just a Party Band about local legend Spencer Barnitz. Emile’s newest project, Riviera Music, is a learning center, commercial studio, and music shop offering new and vintage guitars, keyboards, and musician essentials. In addition to serving Santa Barbara musicians, Riviera Music‘s mission is to inspire young people to learn, create, and appreciate music.

Our Group Keyboard Lesson Program will begin September 3rd and 4th, 2025. Weekly classes are offered Wednesday and Thursday (see above for times and availability). All group lessons are 8-week programs and occur weekly. Group lessons are offered to ages 6-9 on Wednesdays and 10-13 on Thursdays. Lessons are keyboard based and an introduction to playing piano and reading music. Group Lesson Programs begin at $300. Keyboard rentals available. Private Lessons are a one-on-one learning experience for students of all ages. Our teachers are experienced, dependable, and all undergo background checks. Lessons offered include guitar, piano, and ukulele. Lessons are $50 for 30 minutes and $75 for 45 minutes. Private lessons begin September 2, 2025.
Our learning studio is available to musicians and artists interested in recording and learning about music production. All lessons are Protools based and students receive an expert first-hand learning experience. Please contact the shop for more information.
